SAD: Seasonal Affective Disorder & Remedy For SAD


Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is a type of depression that appears to be related to the amount of light people are exposed to. It is an extreme form of "winter blues" because most people tend to get worse in the fall or winter. However, some people experience symptoms in late spring or early summer.

It is estimated that every year, as days get shorter and temperatures drop, 2 to 3 per cent of the population is affected by SAR. About 15 in 100 people experience lighter symptoms called "winter blues".

This disorder affects women more than men and usually starts in their twenties. Older people are less at risk than others. Children may also have SAD, though less frequently.


causes
The cause of the CAS is unknown, but it is believed that it may come from less exposure to sunlight. The TAS could be related to the body's biological clock that regulates temperature and hormonal secretion.

TAS could also be related to the concentration of melatonin in the body, a hormone secreted by the pineal gland. The nerve centers of the brain that control daily rhythms and moods are stimulated by the amount of light entering the eyes. During the night, the melatonin produced by the pineal gland puts us to sleep. In the morning, bright sunlight stops the production of melatonin. During the dark winter days, there is not enough light to cause this waking process and some people may have a very hard time getting up in the morning.

In addition, on dark winter days, the eyes absorb less light during the day, and some people may feel "depressed".

Geography also seems to play a role. SAR is more common among people living in northern climates and those who left the sunny south for the north. We can all be affected by the CAS, even if we are not predisposed to depression. If a person has a history of depression and lives in a northern climate, they may be more susceptible to this condition.


Complications
CAS occurs during the last months of the fall and during the winter, usually between October and April. Symptoms associated with this condition include:

lethargy and fatigue (a low level of energy);
taking a distance with friends and family;
an inability to concentrate;
sadness, anxiety and despair;
changes in appetite with cravings for sweets and starchy foods;
weight gain
headaches;
irritability;
an extension of the duration of sleep.
In children, symptoms include irritability, school problems and difficulty getting out of bed.

Some people, especially those who experience SAD in the summer, may experience a range of adverse symptoms such as loss of appetite and weight, as well as insomnia.



Diagnostic
CAS can affect someone who is not predisposed to depression. The diagnosis of TAS is made when the clinical presentation meets certain criteria.

Treatment and Prevention

For most people, a few minutes a day of exposure to sunlight should be enough to maintain adequate vitamin D status, the researchers say.

Seasonal depression would affect up to 10% of the population, depending on the geographic location, according to some estimates.

Many people misunderstand the nature of anxiety disorders and think that they will be able to overcome them on their

CAUSES

Although researchers do not know exactly what causes anxiety disorders, they know that many factors are at work. An anxiety disorder, like other mental health problems, comes from biological and psychological factors that combine with other personal factors.

Generalized anxiety can cause symptoms of muscle tension, tremors, shortness of breath, rapid heartbeat, dizziness, dry mouth, nausea, difficulty sleeping and decreased concentration .
The complications of anxiety disorders are mainly related to feelings of inadequacy or depression because they know that their behavior is irrational and disrupts their lives. Depression very often accompanies anxiety disorders.






Diagnostic
A person who thinks they have an anxiety disorder should consult a doctor. Some medications used to treat anxiety disorders have not been approved for this purpose by Health Canada. Some people with mild anxiety or anxiety in easily avoidable conditions may decide not to be treated.

3) A shampoo and care without silicones

Silicones are also very present in shampoos and even more in skincare and hair care. They are plastics that in the long run can "smother" the hair and devitalize it, while also stifling the scalp that breathes less well, and is disrupted in its natural secretions (sebum).

So avoid the ingredients : dimethicone, and coughs that end with -one or -oxane.


4) Essential oils in shampoo

The shampoo becomes care if we add some essential oils that stimulate the micro-circulation and tone the hair fiber. Back to magnesium deficiency and poor heart condition is that, in cardiovascular disease prevention, filling up with magnesium is not enough. Physical activity and other dietary measures are unavoidable 6 :

Reduce consumption of saturated fats:

Prefer unsaturated fats:

Sunday after evening service.  Fever 109.6.  Wifey makes the soup.  I eat as can't get over the pain.  Within about an hour and a half the fever is down to 93! That's how effective this is, who would think a bone broth could serve as "pneumonia treatment"?!   It really brings relief and that's why I'm sharing this post.


Powerful Chicken Broth Recipe:


Ingredients:

1 whole chicken
2 whole heads of garlic diced
6 large onions chopped
1 bunch celery
7 Bay leaves
1 tsp peppercorns
1 Tablespoon Turmeric
5-6 chicken bouillon cubes
4 Carrots grated
1 cup of split peas
1 tsp salt
2 litres water
1 cup double Cream

Method:

Place your chicken in a large pot and cover it with the water.  Now add your peas, salt, pepper, garlic and herbs including chicken seasoning if you prefer. Add the vegetables bit later on.

Boil all ingredients for 1 and a half hours then debone chicken

.I personally don't really debone the chicken as there are health giving minerals and collagen your body needs to boost your immune system

If you deboned your chicken now you may add 1/2 of the chopped chicken back to the soup but that's if you mind the bones. For me that's mind over matter the medicine is in the bones.

Finely add your freshly chopped onions, bunch of celery, the carrots add all veggies now. By now the peas should have begun to cook soft and thickening the chicken soup.

Now add the 6 chicken bouillon cubes and more water so the broth doesn't get to thick and burn the base of your pot. Lastly add the double cream and salt to taste.

Cook for 30 minutes more or until your vegetables are tender enough.



Sunday after evening service.  Fever 109.6.  Wifey makes the soup.  I eat as can't get over the pain.  Within about an hour and a half the fever is down to 93! Powerful Chicken Broth Recipe:


Ingredients:

1 whole chicken
2 whole heads of garlic diced
6 large onions chopped
1 bunch celery
7 Bay leaves
1 tsp peppercorns
1 Tablespoon Turmeric
5-6 chicken bouillon cubes
4 Carrots grated
1 cup of split peas
1 tsp salt
2 litres water
1 cup double Cream

Method:

Place your chicken in a large pot and cover it with the water.  Now add your peas, salt, pepper, garlic and herbs including chicken seasoning if you prefer. Add the vegetables bit later on.

Boil all ingredients for 1 and a half hours then debone chicken

.I personally don't really debone the chicken as there are health giving minerals and collagen your body needs to boost your immune system

If you deboned your chicken now you may add 1/2 of the chopped chicken back to the soup but that's if you mind the bones. For me that's mind over matter the medicine is in the bones.

Finely add your freshly chopped onions, bunch of celery, the carrots add all veggies now. By now the peas should have begun to cook soft and thickening the chicken soup.

Now add the 6 chicken bouillon cubes and more water so the broth doesn't get to thick and burn the base of your pot. Lastly add the double cream and salt to taste.

Cook for 30 minutes more or until your vegetables are tender enough.
